In this project,  the desk construction on Colorado Island, In South California, we had two essential objectives: not only did it have to respect the architectural style of the house and the neighborhood, but we also wanted the balcony to be fully integrated into the surrounding landscape. For this reason, we used natural materials such as wood, clean, stylized lines and earth tones. On the other hand, the technical aspects to be considered with the utmost attention, such as soil condition, appropriate foundations, framing and joists, material selection, drainage and ventilation, railing safety and fasteners and hardware.  It’s not just about aesthetics and design; it’s also about preventing material corrosion, considering permits and regulations, analyzing soil resistance and permeability, and so on. Ultimately, construction is where science and art meet, and at Evergreen, our motto is: beautiful, strong, and durable.
