Evergreen delivered this stunning kitchen transformation in Carlsbad, creating a bright, functional space that combines timeless design with advanced technical solutions for modern living.  The renovation required complete reconfiguration of the existing layout, beginning with structural assessment and removal of a load-bearing wall to create the open-concept design. We installed a steel beam with proper engineering calculations and permits to maintain structural integrity while opening the space.

Electrical infrastructure was completely upgraded to accommodate modern appliances, including dedicated 220V circuits for the professional-grade gas range and wall oven. We installed under-cabinet lighting with LED strips and integrated dimming controls, while recessed LED fixtures throughout provide energy-efficient ambient lighting that meets California Title 24 requirements.

The plumbing system was relocated to center the sink in the island, requiring careful coordination of drain lines and venting to maintain proper flow and code compliance. We installed a professional-style faucet with pull-down spray functionality and separate hot water dispenser.  The glass-front upper cabinets feature interior LED lighting and required precise alignment for the decorative mullion details. All cabinets were leveled and shimmed for perfect door operation, with soft-close hinges throughout.

The quartz countertops were templated on-site for seamless integration, with careful attention to the waterfall edge detail and undermount sink cutout. Backsplash installation used classic white subway tile with precision-cut edges around outlets and the range area.

 The design and decoration were also given special attention and care.  All-white color palette creates an airy atmosphere enhanced by stainless steel appliances and brushed nickel hardware. Black lantern-style pendant lights add visual contrast and farmhouse charm, while the light wood flooring introduces warmth to balance the crisp white surfaces—perfectly capturing coastal elegance.

But we haven’t forgotten functionality and practicality either; after all, a kitchen should be made to be enjoyed and lived in. Note the spacious cabinets that reach all the way to the ceiling, multiplying the storage space. or the central island, suitable for use as a breakfast bar or to expand the countertop space.
